Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak will continue visiting every nook and corner of Sarawak to check on the welfare of the people.
"It is my responsibility as head of the government to do so, irrespective of their race or religion and where they live," he said.
Najib was speaking at a meet-the-people session at Rh Jawang anak Janting in Bukit Sari, more than a two-hour drive from here through logging road.
He also wanted to personally see the positive impacts made by the various social development projects implemented by the 1Malaysia Sarawak Advisory Council (1MSAC) at the 43-door lban longhouse.
The projects include micro hydro and clean water supply projects and a fire-fighting system designed specially for longhouses and villages in remote areas.
Also present were council chairman Datuk Joseph Salang, who is also Julau member of parliament and Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Alfred Jabu Numpang.
Najib said he was glad the 1MSAC had to date, implemented a total of 1,431 projects statewide for the rural populace.
"I am very happy to see projects such as the micro hydro dam can provide ample power supply to enable the people to have better quality of life.
"With constant power source both for lighting and electrical appliances, they can, for instance, use their refrigerators to store food to ensure its freshness for longer period of time," he noted.
The prime minister said when the people were more comfortable, they would be more united.
"However, I am sad some quarters are politicising the council and the good work that it has done."
Meanwhile, Najib said he would consult the defence ministry on how a certain stretch of the logging road linking two primary schools in the area could be upgraded by the military under its 'Projek Jiwa Murni'.
On the forthcoming 11th Sarawak state elections, he called on the people to continue to support the state Barisan Nasional government so that it could continue to deliver.
