The Terengganu Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) has forged collaborations with taxi drivers in disseminating information to the public.

Kuala Terengganu distribution area manager, Md Gezmir Md Ghazi said the partnership is a good initiative as taxi drivers often deal with people of various temperament, giving them the opportunity to chat on diverse issues.

"It is our hope that the drivers can spread messages from TNB such as on the reduction on electricity consumption and its safe usage," he told Bernama during the 'Nasi Lemak Kopi O' programme with the state Welfare Association for Car Rental Drivers (PKPKST) here yesterday.

Md Gezmir said TNB also hoped that the taxi drivers inform their customers that there were no hikes in the electricity tariff, as made viral by the social media.

"For further enquiries, members of the public can contact the TNB Careline at 15454 or refer to the nearest TNB office," he advised. - BERNAMA
