The High Court here Monday set June 26 for mention of a case involving a former executive of an oil and gas company accused of murdering his wife, TV9 administrative executive Nur Syaleza Jaffar.

Justice Datuk Ahmadi Asnawi set the date in chambers.

Lawyer Shah Rizal Abdul Manan, representing the accused, Norazman Bashah Ahmad Azam Bashah, when met by reporters outside the court, said the defence was still waiting for the port-mortem report from the prosecution.

"We will send a representation to the Attorney-General's Chambers to review the charge against my client after receiving the post-mortem report," he added.

Norazman Bashah, 32, is charged with murdering Nur Syaleza, 31, at their residence at No.115, Tingkat 1 Blok O, Apartment Saujana, Jalan PJU 10/1C, Damansara Damai, Petaling Jaya, between noon and 7.30pm on July 28, 2012.

The offence, under Section 302 of the Penal Code, carries the mandatory death sentence upon conviction.
