Two more bodies of victims of the boat which capsized in the waters of Pantai Batu Layar, near Sungai Rengit, Kota Tinggi were found today, bringing the total number of drowned victims to 14 people so far.

Kota Tinggi police chief Supt Rahmat Othman said the remains of the two men were found on the beach about 500 metres from where the boat capsized at about 7.30am.

"The bodies were found 200 metres apart by policemen involved in the search and rescue (SAR) operation," he said when contacted today.

In the incident two days ago, the boat, with , was believed to be heading towards Batam in Indonesia when it capsized.

Four of the bodies were found at 9.55 pm after the boat capsized, and five others, a seven months pregnant woman, yesterday.

The 11 drowned victims comprised four men, six women and a baby girl. Thirty four people were rescued, comprising 26 men and eight women, and they were now placed at the Home Ministry Complex in Setia Tropika, here while awaiting further action.
