The search and rescue mission of Abdul Aziz Al-Fathoni Abdul Halim, the six-year-old boy feared drowned at Pantai Irama here is still ongoing.

The victim was reported missing on Saturday after playing at the seawalls with his two other siblings.

According to authorities, Abdul Aziz is believed to have slipped from the seawalls after it was hit by strong current.

The victim was visiting Pantai Irama with his mother, Nik Siti Hanifah Nik Ahmad, 40 and four other siblings aged between one and nine.

SAR efforts have intensified within the radius three kilometres from the scene by the police, Fire and Rescue Department, Civil Defence Brigade, People's Volunteer Corps (Rela) and Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (APMM).
