A female factory worker manning a flour mixer at her workplace at Jalan Sri Wangi, Taman Perindustrian Desa Plentong, Bandar Baru Permas Jaya, was killed when she was trapped in the machine, Tuesday.

South Johor Bahru police chief ACP Sulaiman Salleh said in the 12.43pm incident, the right hand of Noridah Nazir, aged 42, got caught inside the mixer, resulting in her body dragged into the grinder.

"The victim died on the spot and police found no traces leading to foul play," he said.

However, investigations are still ongoing to identify the cause of the mishap and the body has been sent to the Sultan Ismail Hospital here for post-mortem, he said in statement last night.
