SHAH ALAM: Putera Aiman Abdul Rashid, an excellent professional accounting course student at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), has been offered educational financing by Yayasan Selangor.

The foundation said in a statement today that Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari, who is also Yayasan Selangor Board of Trustees chairman, made offer at Putera Aiman's residence in Kampung Sungai Tua, Batu Caves yesterday.

It said the offer was to fund his studies until he completes his professional accounting studies to the highest level, which is the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) that is offered at UiTM.

Recently, Putera Aiman won top place at the national level and came in second in the world in the Maintaining Financial Records (FA2) examination under the Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) course.

It said the foundation and state government were also looking at other appropriate aid for Putera Aiman through the Selangor Special Scholarship Programme Bitara if he planned to further his studies abroad one day.

Yayasan Selangor was set up on Nov 5, 1970 under the Companies Act 1965 with the objective of giving aid and encouragement in education to all Malaysians, especially in Selangor, who were poor but had potential.
