Gelang Patah MP Lim Kit Siang said today that he is mulling contesting a different seat in the 14th general election (GE14) if he does not retire from politics.

The DAP advisor said, for now, he wanted to stay put in Gelang Patah but would move if it was in line with the party's strategy.

"Yesterday I was in Alor Star, Kedah and the leaders there asked me to contest in Kedah. My first choice is Gelang Patah but if I am asked to move as part of DAP's strategy then I am willing to consider," he told reporters after making a visit to Kangkar Pulai here today.

The DAP stalwart has often come under fire for changing seats every time and election comes with people saying that he is shortchanging voters who voted him in to serve them.

GE14 has to be called next year.
