Former Bagan Luar DAP branch chairman G. Asoghan has urged DAP adviser Lim Kit Siang to accept the challenge of former DAP vice-chairman Tunku Abdul Aziz Tunku Ibrahim to a debate.

"I urge Lim Kit Siang not to run away... Malaysians should and must know that Lim Kit Siang is a dictator and did not democratically lead DAP for 51 years," he said at a press conference here, Monday.

During a press conference on April 4, Tunku Abdul Aziz had challenged Lim to debate on the policies and the dictatorship which became the party's base after the DAP adviser made the decision to appoint a Malay to chair Pakatan Harapan.

Tunku Abdul Aziz claimed that the move was a smokescreen to deceive the Malay voters into believing that the Malays would continue to lead and govern the country when the opposition wins the next general election.

Asoghan said that democracy did not exist in DAP and Lim would get rid of anyone in the party to maintain the position of the Lim dynasty.

"I was among the victims of Lim Kit Siang's iron fist political violence. Apart from me, there are still many in Lim Kit Siang'S DAP who will be dismissed," he said. -- Bernama
