MCA calls on the government to take immediate action against any individual or group trying to create disunity in the country.

MCA president Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai said stern action is needed to address those who create disunity.

He described the current political scenario as the haze situation affecting the country now.

“The rude actions of stepping onto the photos of leaders, using vulgar words and calls to abolish SJKC affects the unity and peace in the country,” he said in his speech at the MCA’s 62nd annual general meeting today.

“I condemn such irresponsible actions and call on the government to take steps to correct them,” he added.

Liow stressed that now is not the time to fight among ourselves and said unity among all parties is necessary to bring back the confidence of the voters to face the 14th general election.
