Felda will soon have its own playing venue when a new stadium is build in Bandar Tun Abdul Razak, Jengka, Pahang.

Felda chairman Tan Sri Mohd Isa Abdul Samad said the contractor for building the project the stadium had already been identified.

"Construction is expected to start by early next month and completed in two years," he told reporters after presenting certificates and awards to 50 children of Felda settlers who will be going to the Cardiff City Academy, here today.

Also present were Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Ahmad Maslan and 1Malaysia Cardiff City Football Academy Sdn Bhd chairman Datuk Chan Tien Ghee.

Isa said the cost of the 30,000 capacity stadium would be in the region of RM80 to RM100 million, including venues and facilities for other sporting activities.

He added that apart from the stadium and the current Felda Football Academy in Kuantan, Pahang, Felda would also set up three more similar academies in Gua Musang, Alor Setar and another location in the south.

Isa said 50 players who are children of Felda settlers would be exposed to the Cardiff City Academy in Wales from Nov 11 to Dec 5.
