Police continued to maintain its position at the top of the Premier League despite failing to gun down their opponent Pos Malaysia at the Hang Jebat Stadium in Melaka on Monday.

The cops, coached by R. Nallathamby, were held to a 1-1 draw by the 'postmen' but managed to stay at the top with 13 points after five matches, one point ahead of Kedah who have 12.

Police took the lead through Mohd Khairol Abedol Latif's 44th minute strike but Pos Malaysia managed to equalise in the 59th minute through Saufi Mohd Ibrahim to share the points.

Former powerhouse Kedah beat Sabah 2-0 at the Likas Stadium in Kota Kinabalu with goals from Mohd khyril Muhymeen Zambri (40th) and Muhamad Fiqkry Mohd Isa (80th) to register their fourth win in five matches.

Kuala Lumpur added to Perlis' misery by snatching a slim 1-0 win at the Utama Stadium in Kangar as Syafiq Johari ensured all three points for his team with a 44th minute goal.

At the Pasir Gudang Stadium in Johor Baharu, host team Johor ensured UiTM remained rooted at the bottom of the table after walking out with a 2-0 win while NS Betaria FC registered their first win of the season by beating S.P.A, Putrajaya 3-2 at the Kuala Lumpur Football Stadium in Cheras.

At the Selayang Stadium, Sime Darby and Sarawak played out a goalless draw to share the points.

With the one point earned today, Sarawak moved up to third spot on the league table while Sime Darby, though with the same points as Sarawak (11) are in fourth spot.
