Do we know the amount of pain a woman endures when in labour?

As part of Mix Breakfast Show Life Swap segment, radio deejay Prem Shanker went through a labour simulation to experience what it is like to give birth.

The segment shared in a video posted on the station’s YouTube page, started in the studio where he had to put on a pregnancy suit.

"The reason why I want you to wear this pregnancy suit and go through labour is because you need to know what women go through when they go through it (labour),” said co-host Aishah Sinclair.

However, things became more intense when Prem and Aishah went to Sunway Medical Centre.

It did not take long before Prem was wired up and hooked to a machine which stimulates the pain of child birth.

“Good job! I’m so proud of you,” said a very emotional Aishah.

Wrapping up the ‘Life Swap’ segment, Prem said it had been an amazing journey.

“It’s such an emotional journey. This has been an amazing journey. It was fun but we also learned a lot. It’s not easy to be a woman.

“Two weeks ago, I said on national radio that woman have life easier. I take that back, I am sorry for saying that,” he said.

The Life Swap segment was aimed at finding out which gender has a more stressful life.
