National courier company, PosLaju Malaysia succeeded in achieving its target of a 10 per cent increase in monthly sales value in conjunction with the "Send and Win" contest which was officially launched here today.

Pos Malaysia Group Chief Operations Officer Mohd Shukrie Mohd Salleh said for last December, PosLaju registered a 14 per cent increase in monthly sales value at its counters nationwide.

"For December, PosLaju recorded 484,383 consignment notes, that is an increase of more than 10 per cent, compared to sales for the January to November 2012 period, which was about 400,000 only," he added.

He was speaking to the media after the official launch of the contest at the Pos Laju headquarters here today.

He said the contest which began on December 1, 2012 and runs till March 31,2013 offers an overall cash prize of RM129,000, including 42 monthly winners who received RM500 each.

According to Shukrie, the contest is specially for Pos Laju customers who make counter purchases of its products or services.

He said the company will look at the possibility of running a similar contest in future based on the profit derived when the current event ends in March.

Meanwhile, at the same event, six winners of the contest for December, received their respective cash prize of RM500 each.
