SEOUL: The music video for K-pop girl group BLACKPINK's hit song, "Pink Venom," has achieved a remarkable milestone by surpassing 700 million views on YouTube, said YG Entertainment, the group's agency.

"Pink Venom" was the pre-released track from BLACKPINK's highly acclaimed second full-length album, titled "Born Pink," which was released on Sept 16 last year, reported Yonhap citing YG Entertainment.

YG Entertainment reported that the music video reached the impressive 700 million views mark on the video sharing platform at 12.41 pm on Friday, approximately 350 days after its initial upload on Aug 19.

From its debut, the music video made waves by setting a world record for female artists, collecting an astounding 90.4 million YouTube views within the first 24 hours of release. Additionally, BLACKPINK achieved another milestone as the fastest K-pop girl group MV to surpass 100 million views on YouTube, achieving this feat in just 29 hours and 35 minutes.

"Pink Venom" is a captivating hip-hop genre song that beautifully blends intense beats with sounds from traditional Korean instruments. Its popularity extended beyond K-pop circles, securing a spot at No 22 on both the Hot 100 main songs chart of the US Billboard and the British Official Singles Chart Top 100.
