Police have arrested a 13-year-old boy who threatened to plant bombs at the Marina Bay Sands Resort.

The local television station said the boy had posted the threat on his Facebook page last Saturday.

It quoted the police as saying that the case was classified as a breach of prohibition against false threats of terrorist acts.

If convicted, he could be fined up to S$100,000 (about RM250,320) and jailed up to five years, it said.
