According to The Hollywood Reporter, the character invented by author Dr. Seuss will be back in cinemas in a feature-length animated film.

Thirteen years after Ron Howard's version starring Jim Carrey, Universal Studios has decided to make a new version of "How the Grinch Stole Christmas," Dr. Seuss' most notorious work, published in 1957.

The animated film will be produced by the Illumination Entertainment teams behind "The Lorax". It will be directed by Peter Candeland. The movie will once again center on the bitter green Grinch who lives at the top of Mount Crumpit discovering Christmas spirit.
