For the very first time, three Malaysian renowned iconic bands – The Strollers (1970s legend), Lord & The Boys (rock legend) and Blues Gang (blues legend) will join forces at Istana Budaya on Sept 17 in conjunction with the Malaysia Day celebration.

Istana Budaya director-general Datuk Mohamed Juhari Shaarani said the 'Return Of The Legends' was being organised to commemorate local artistes who had contributed significantly to the country's creative industry.

"Not only that they were among the finest, these bands formed by multi-racial members also showed that they could succeed. I think that fits perfectly with the theme of this year's Malaysia Day, 'Sehati Sejiwa'," he said.

According to him, the opening act would be by Dendang Anak (Nusantara Musical Cultural Group) featuring talented guitarist Ahmed Faseeh and Steve Steels on drum.

There will also a special appearance by Datuk Seri Mohd Nasser Ismail Al-Hashemi, better known as Archer, an international singer-songwriter and also the organiser of the show.

Tickets at RM88 to RM488 each are available at redtixasia.com or direct from Istana Budaya by calling 03-4026 5558.
