The body of a tourist from Saudi Arabia, Alahmadi Hussain Fuada, 19, who drowned at Tasik Dayang Bunting here yesterday, has been handed over to his family today.

Langkawi District Police chief, Supt Dr Che Ghazali Che Awang said the body was handed over after the outcome of a post-mortem confirmed the victim had died of drowning and there was no foul play.

"The post-mortem was done at the Langkawi hospital at 11.00 am," he told Bernama.

In the 5.30 pm incident yesterday, he was believed to have slipped and fell into the lake from a floating rig while visiting the place with his family.
