Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman has instructed all relevant agencies to be on the alert for possible floods following heavy downpours which continued to persist in Sabah, especially in the west coast areas.

He said this was to enable the agencies to take quick action in case of floods and landslides.

"The Natural Disaster Committee members at all level should also be in the full state of preparedness to face any possibilities in their respective areas," Musa, who is also Sabah State Security Council chairman, said in a statement here today.

He also advised the public to take precautionary measures to protect their lives, families and properties during the transition of monsoons period.
