KUALA LUMPUR: The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) has given assurance that the country's security and public order are under control, in the light of the current political situation.

Inspector-General of Police, Datuk Seri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani, said in this regard, the public was asked to remain calm and not to make any speculation because PDRM would ensure national security, with increased surveillance to ensure the people's well-being.

"PDRM is always monitoring the current security scenario, and will take stern action if there are any parties using any medium that can cause incitement or threaten public order," he said in a statement today.

At the same time, the public is asked to always adhere to all standard operating procedures (SOPs) set by the National Security Council (MKN), as a joint effort to curb the spread of COVID-19 infection.
