Reports of a plane crash in Gua Musang last night was actually a military drill between the Malaysian Army and United States troops, Transport Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai said.

He said it was merely a routine training and there was nothing to be worried about.

"I want to confirm that no plane has crashed. Instead, it is a routine training flight between Malaysia and the US military. This is normal," he told newsmen after launching the new wi-fi service by Malindo Air at klia2 today.

He appreciated the concern shown by Gua Musang residents and members of the public on the incident.

"We want to thank everyone, particularly the people who lodge the police reports after seeing an aircraft flying low nearby," he added.

The Fire and Rescue Department have also confirmed there were no wreckage found in the area where the plane reportedly crashed.
