The fire which broke out at around 4.50am at Jalan 21, Taman Ehsan reportedly killed Tan Kien Mun, 43 and his four-year-old daughter.
According to Operations Commader Ahmad Kassim, the fire fighters had received a distress call at around 4.57am and the first fire engine arrived at the scene five minutes later.
“24 personnel and two officers from the Selayang, Jinjang and Hang Tuah fire stations had been sent to the scene of the incident and when they arrived, the fire had already engulfed the whole house,” he said.
Four cars and a van were also destroyed in the incident and the fire had been brought under control a few minutes after fire fighters arrived at the scene.
Both the victims had been sent to a nearby hospital for a post mortem.
