The Malaysia Innovation Agency (AIM) hopes to gather as much ideas and solutions to overcome problems or issues faced by the nation, via the newly-launched 'Genovasi Challenge'.

AIM's special innovation unit chief executive officer Datuk Seri Kamal Jit Singh said, through the challenge, Malaysians could present their ideas to address the issues and AIM would choose the best for implementation.

"Engagement sessions have been ongoing through various parties, companies, organisations, ministries...but all were targeted at specific problems.

"We need challenges for the entire country, things that will change the whole country. We are looking for solutions that come from Malaysians," he told a press conference after the launch of 'Genovasi Challenge' in Bangsar here today.

The challenge was launched by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak as part of the Genovasi initiative introduced on Aug 1.
