Youth and Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin said the different events from the usual held this time included boxing and silat which attracted large numbers of youths to the three-day festival beginning last Friday.

He said more interesting was the opportunity and space given to youths to showcase their talent through various programmes organised by Rakan Muda.

Khairy hoped that the talent displayed by the youths at the festival did not just end there, but be further developed through the Rakan Muda programme.

"Those with a huge talent could use the platform to obtain a government grant to carry out activities to promote their talent without the need to go through the Youth Department or certain associations," he said.
