Investigation papers on the nudist event held in the state have been submitted to Attorney General (AG) office for further action.

Penang Criminal Investigation Department chief ACP Mazlan Kesah who confirmed the matter said nine individuals have given their statement on the nudist event.

Mazlan said out of the nine, eight were locals and one a Singaporean. They were remanded from Aug 13 until yesterday for investigation.

He said the police received 11 reports of the event and are currently hot on heels of six more participants who have yet to surrender.

“We have taken statement from 29 people including ranger, staff and other witness and the investigation papers have been referred to the AG’s office in Putrajaya for further action,” Mazlan told Astro AWANI.

He said all the suspects have been released on police bail after their remand order expired today.

Police had earlier identified all 15 participants of the nudist event – seven locals, four Singaporeans, two Myanmar nationals, one Filipino and one Indian.
