Legendary actor S. Shamsuddin passed away this morning.
“He died this morning around 11, his body is still in the National University Hospital, Singapore.
"The late will be buried tomorrow at 11 am at Pusara Abadi, Singapore," said Husin Saaban, a friend of the late artist in Singapore.
Shamsudin or Sahamsudin bin Dali was born in Pasir Panjang, Singapore on January 1, 1929. His father, Dali bin Kechik is from Malacca, while his mother, Katijah Hj Ahmad comes from Geylang Singapore.
S. Shamsuddin, later married Puteh bt Esmoon in 1954 and had seven children.
S. Shamsuddin or Sudin did various odd jobs to support his family before entering the film industry.
Among his successful films are Bujang Lapok, Pendekar Bujang Lapok and Seniman Bujang Lapok, also Antara Dua Darjat and Panggilan Pulau.
