Police are tracking two men suspected of starting a fire in front of a lawyer's office in Wisma Cosway, Jalan Raja Chulan Saturday morning.

Kuala Lumpur CID chief Datuk Zainuddin Ahmad said they received a report of a fire in front of the office of Wong & Chua Advocates & Solicitor at about 7am yesterday.

"The control centre ordered a patrol car and three fire engines from Pudu, Jalan Hang Tuah and Sri Rampai stations to the scene," he said in a statement.

On arrival, the forensic team then found a blue container, a lighter and a crowbar allegedly used in the act.

Zainuddin said based on CCTV footage, the two suspects believed, to be locals arrived in a grey Honda City.

The suspects wore a hat, coat and face mask to hide their identity.

"The suspects then went to the fifth floor using the lift carrying a container of kerosene and a crowbar and stopped in front of the lawyer's office.

"They then started a fire by throwing a bottle of oil at the office door and fled the scene using the lift," he added.

The case is investigated under Section 435 of the Penal Code for arson.
