A probe into the bus crash which claimed 37 lives at KM3.5 Jalan Genting Highlands would cover all aspects, said Pahang police chief Datuk Sharifuddin Ab Ghani.

He said the police would begin by recording statements from witnesses and passengers who were rescued in the accident.

"The probe will examine all aspects to get an accurate picture of what happened," he told reporters here today.

In the accident, 37 people, including the bus driver, were killed when the vehicle which ferried 53 passengers, plunged 60 metres into a ravine on its way down from the holiday resort.

The accident, said to be the worst involving a bus in the country's history, also left 16 passengers injured.
