KUALA LUMPUR:Selangor reported the highest COVID-19 new  daily cases with 1,103 (44.8 per cent). Of that number,  867 cases (78.6 per cent) were from clusters and COVID-19 close contact screening actively conducted in the field.

This was followed by Johor with 492 cases, Sarawak with 161 cases, and Kuala Lumpur with 154 cases.

Meanwhile, seven new deaths were recorded on Sunday.

The following is among the focus from the media statement of the Director-General of Health, Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah on February 14, 2021:

1. 2,464 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total to 264,269 cases.

2. 7 new deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 965.

3. Active case of COVID-19 infectivity now reaches 49,490 cases.

4. 260 cases are being treated in the intensive care unit (ICU), with 111 cases in need of respiratory assistance.

5. MOH confirmed the addition of 11 new clusters, namely five clusters in Johor, three in Selangor and one each in Kedah, Sabah and Perak.
