A severed human head, left leg, body and hands were found strewn on KM317 close to Tapah while chunks of human flesh and bones and a right leg were picked up near the Ipoh exit at KM274.2 of the North-South Expressway after a gruesome accident early Wednesday.

According the Harian Metro, the victim, motorcyclist Ahmad Mahamud, 25, was riding from his family home in Kedah to Tanjung Malim where he worked at the Proton car manufacturing plant in Proton City when he was hit from the rear by a heavy vehicle in what was probably a hit-and-run accident.

His body was then dragged for 43 kilometres from Ipoh to Tapah causing it to be torn to shreds.

Ahmad’s body parts and motorcycle were recovered by PLUS personnel who had then contacted police after they had failed to find his body at the scene of the accident.

Ipoh Public Order and Traffic chief DSP Wan Sharuddin Wan Omar told Harian Metro, police and PLUS personnel then headed southwards in search of the victim’s body.

“The victim is believed to have been hit from the rear by a heavy vehicle which we have yet to identify. Police are currently investigating whether or not this is indeed a hit-and-run accident,” he added.

Police are urging those with information contact the nearest police station to assist in investigations.
