Gerakan Harapan Baru (GHB) is willing to work with any party including PAS if there is a need to it, said GHB deputy chairman Salahuddin Ayub.

He said GHB is willing to work with not just political parties but also with non-governmental organisations (NGO) and individuals who are interested in ‘saving’ Malaysia.

Salahuddin said GHB’s priority now is to convince the people that the new party can fill the vacuum in Pakatan Rakyat (PR).

“Our task today is to convince the people that we can fill that vacuum. And when the Pakatan Rakyat 2.0 is set up, the leaders will discuss this further,” he said when met at the GHB Aidilfitri open house and the officiating of Selangor GHB, Sunday.

“That is our discipline, ethics. If there is a need to work with others, then let the PR presidential council decide,” he said.

About 2,000 residents of Shah Alam attended the event. GHB advisor Ahmad Awang, GHB chairman Mohamad Saby and other Pakatan Rakyat Selangor leaders like Hannah Yeoh and Tony Pua also attended the event.

GHB is set up by PAS leaders who had lost in the party’s poll in June. GHB is in the midst of being registered as a political party and is expected to be announced as a formal body in September.
