Faekah Hussin, the former political secretary of the Selangor menteri besar, today announced she was quitting Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) with immediate effect as she had lost confidence in the party.

Faekah, in a short messaging system (SMS) to Bernama, said that the party she had supported since 1999 was seen to have deviated from the objective for which it was set up.

She said the principles of the party championed by the leadership were not adhered to, particularly in properly handling issues arising and the post of the Selangor menteri besar.

"The party's struggle has been side-tracked due to the desire of the leaders who failed to abide by the etiquette and customs in the running of a government.

"As such, it is better for me to leave the party as there is nothing that I can hope for from it," she said in the SMS.

Faekah, who is the CEO of Menteri Besar Incorporated (MBI), had sent her quit letter to the PKR headquarters.

In the letter, she had said that the action of the party leaders against Abdul Khalid had deviated from the values of justice championed by PKR.
