The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) will meet the Terengganu Football Association and Johor Football Association to resolve the postponement of the Malaysia Cup second leg quarterfinal match.

FAM deputy president Datuk Seri Afandi Hamzah said the FAM Executive Committee that met today had decided to call both the teams to Wisma FAM, Kelana Jaya, Friday.

"Both teams will be given an opportunity to give their views during the discussion tomorrow," he told reporters at Wisma FAM, Thursday.

The FAM had decided to postpone the second leg between Terengganu and Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) to Oct 17, following an appeal from JDT while Terengganu insisted that the match be held as scheduled on Oct 11.

JDT in its appeal for postponement had stated two reasons for their request.

The first reason stated was that their import player Hariss Harun from Singapore would be involved in a friendly match between Singapore and Hongkong on Friday while the second reason stated was to give additional time for upgrading works to be completed at the Larkin Stadium.

Meanwhile, FAM President Tengku Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah in denying claims that FAM's decision to accept JDT's request for postponement was biased, said a decision was made to allow the National squad time to train.

"The change of date was to allow national players to train. We called both teams to discuss and reach an amicable solution. No one should hurl accusations that are baseless," he said after chairing the meeting.
