Honda's Malaysian racer Khairul Idham Pawi won the German Moto 3 Grand Prix at a wet Sachsenring circuit on Sunday.

The 18-year-old, fondly known by his fans as 'Super KIP', claimed his second win of the season at the main expense of Italians Andrea Locatelli and Enea Bastianini.

Khairul Idham's previous success was also attained in the rain in Argentina, and when heavy rains began to descend, the young Malaysian must surely have been grinning widely behind his helmet visor.

The impact of the wet race didn't take long.

Super KIP moved from way back on the grid all the way to seventh by the end of the very first lap.

Riding as if his life depended on it, the teen sensation ran off the track on the 14th lap but yet did not ease off the pace even a bit, instead, he pressed on even harder.

Praise pours in for Super KIP on social media

Khairul Idham is now 10th in the Moto3 standings, 105 points behind South African leader Brad Binder, only eighth in Germany.
