Annuar Musa has expressed hope that the Registration of Societies (RoS) Department approves the application to amend the UMNO constitution.

The RoS will make its decision independently regarding UMNO's application to amend the party's constitution, said Home Minister Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin.

The decision on the application for amendments to UMNO's constitution to enable the party to postpone its elections will be known on July 16 at the latest.

Puan Sri Kalsom Ismail, the widow of Tan Sri Jamaludin Jarjis, has filed an application to amend her suit against her four children and mother-in-law over matrimonial property worth RM1 billion.

Kamaludin said the court allowed Najib's application as the former prime minister had provided reasonable grounds in his application.

Three High Court judges today granted the application as there was no objection from the prosecution.

Zakir filed the suit in October last year claiming that Ramasamy had issued defamatory statements against him and linking him to the LTTE.

The High Court here today allowed the prosecution's application to amend the forfeiture notice against items seized from Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, his wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor and 16 others.

Judge Collin Lawrence Sequerah ordered the charges to be read to Ahmad Zahid, who is also Umno president, after allowing the prosecutions application to amend the 14 charges.

Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak's application to amend the statement of claim in his lawsuit against Harakah and Harakahdaily relating to 1MDB will be heard by the High Court on March 21.
