A total of 12,757 COVID-19 cases were reported during the 49thh Epidemiological Week from Dec 3-9, said Datuk Dr Muhammad Radzi Abu Hassan.

All infected cases were males aged between nine to 45 years and were reported within the Kozhikode district of Kerala, the WHO said.

The number of new COVID-19 cases recorded in Malaysia from Sept 18-24 dropped 4.9 pct to 12,963 cases compared to 13,627 from Sept 11-17.

The number of new cases of COVID-19 in Malaysia continues to show a decrease with 1,483 cases reported Sunday compared to 1,971 on Saturday.
