The daughter of a victim who perished with five other family members in a tragic accident Wednesday afternoon related that her father had a day earlier asked her to join them to Kuantan, Pahang.

Puteri Nabilah Azaman, 19, told her father that she could not join them as she had to sit for her examination the next day (at Wakaf Tembesu Vocational College).

"We were having breakfast at home and my father insisted that I join them but I declined. I told him, 'I have to sit for my last Mathematics paper tomorrow'.

"I did not have breakfast with them today. There was nothing unusual and everyone seemed normal," she recalled.

She said not long after, she was informed of the accident.

"That was the last time I was with them. I didn't expect them to leave me forever," she told reporters when met here on Wednesday.

Her father, Azaman Ramli, 49, a Proton marketing manager at Padang Midin, Kuala Terengganu perished in the 12.30pm incident at Kilometre 258, East Coast Highway 2 (LPT2), near Perasing Rest and Service Layby in Jabor.

Azaman's wife Noor Akmal Mohd Zain, 48, who is Puteri Nabilah's stepmother, her two brothers Alif Hateem, 16, and Alif Hakim, 12, Noor Amira Syahirah Alias, 22, and Aqeel Muslim Abdullah, aged three, also died in the incident.

They were heading to Kuantan from Terengganu in a Toyota Camry when Azman was believed to have lost control of the car during a heavy downpour and rammed the back of a trailer which was parked in the emergency lane.

Puteri Nabilah said her father went to Kuantan to meet an old friend to discuss about his transfer to Kota Bharu this Nov 1.

"I cannot contain my grief but I have to accept what Allah has willed. My mother also passed away two weeks ago," she said.
