Occasional rains that fell in Kuching resulted in two evacuation centres being reopened this morning following a rise in the number of victims, while in Sabah, the number of victims was reported to have dropped compared with last night.
As at 8am today, the total number of flood victims evacuated to relief centres in the flood-affected states rose to 5,747 compared with 5,627 victims last night.

A Perak MKN spokesman said the flood victims were now staying at the relief centre in Kampung Labit, Lenggong in the district of Hilir Perak.
