After marking its 30th anniversary last year with its most aggressive expansion, BP Healthcare Group announced today the company will continue to accelerate at a rapid rate in 2013.

The outlook remains strong for the privately-held leading healthcare provider which started the New Year by unveiling its takeover of the Sime Darby Specialist Centre Megah daycare facility in Petaling Jaya in its first ever acquisition.

"We remain on a dynamic growth path. Last year, we again achieved double-digit growth and we are confident of sustaining that in 2013," said BP Healthcare Group executive director Chevy Beh.

"Customers can expect more specialist services and facilities as we continue to build on our healthcare culture based on coordinated care with evidence-based practice."

We see great potential in strengthening our healthcare products, pharmacy business, laboratory services, medical and specialist referrals, health business IT solutions, specialist dental services, nutrition and wellness restaurant, medical equipment and food testing.

In line with plans to own a chain of hospitals, Beh said the Group, which currently has over 20 companies in its stable, would continue to expand organically and look for the right opportunities to make more acquisitions.

This year, it will significantly add over 30 new outlets each of diagnostic centres, Lovy Pharmacy, hearing centres and food testing facilities, increase the number of its existing five specialist centres, another three specialists dental clinics and a second Garvys health and wellness restaurant, Beh added.
