The body of G. Sukumaran was found caught in a garbage trap about 2.30pm in Sungai Labu – two kilometres from where he had fallen.
Nilai Fire and Rescue Department chief, Ahmad Ridwan Yahya said a team of firemen carrying out a search and rescue operation retrieved the body.
Nilai police chief, Supt Zaldino Zaludin said the victim's 11-year-old sister told the police the siblings had gone to a shop at the base of the block of flats they resided.
"Later, they went to play near the monsoon drain when suddenly, Sukumaran slipped and fell into the drain.
"The sister tried to rescue Sukumaran but he was swept away by strong currents," he said.
