The protest by former Bersih chairman Datuk S.Ambiga against the National Security Council (NSC) Bill which was passed at Dewan Rakyat yesterday was irrelevant, said myPPP president, Tan Sri M. Kayveas.

He described Ambiga as a person with no permanent stand and her actions were always wavering.

"The NSC Bill was debated and passed in Parliament...so nobody in authority including her (Ambiga) can criticise the bill.

"In the past she fought for fair and clean election but now she is fighting for another matter," he told reporters after chairing the myPPP Supreme Council meeting at the party office here, today.

Kayveas was commenting on reports that Ambiga submitted a protest memorandum to government representatives moments before the NSC Bill was read in Dewan Rakyat yesterday.
