Another non-governmental organisation made a police report to protest against the holding of Bersih 5 rally in Kuala Lumpur, saying it would only disrupt security and public order.

The police report lodged by Pertubuhan Mesra Setiakawan Malaysia (PMSM) on Sunday at the South Klang district headquarters is aimed at enabling security forces to take action against the rally organisers.

PMSM president, Mohd Azli Jaafar said the gathering was seen as once again creating losses for traders in the affected areas and which could lead to riots.

He also wanted police to investigate Bersih chairman, Maria Chin Abdullah when she allegedly incited political hatred via a video recording uploaded onto social websites recently.

Maria had reportedly set the date for Bersih 5 assembly and it was said that there would be several convoys to various parts of the country from Oct 1 in the run-up to the rally.

In Pasir Puteh, the Pasir Puteh UMNO division together with 10 NGOs in the district also lodged a similar report at the Pasir Puteh police headquarters at 2pm.

Pasir Puteh UMNO deputy chief Datuk Hashim Ismail said they wanted police to act against the organisers as the rally could upset public order and harmony. - BERNAMA
