The daughter of the taxi driver who was stabbed to death at Jalan Pasir Mas-Salor traffic light junction here yesterday, said her father had been attacked by an unknown man about six months ago.

Rosnani Sudin, 33, said the man who was riding a motorcycle, tried to break her father's cab window when he stopped at a traffic light near Balai Islam Lundang here, but failed to do so.

"To my knowledge, my father had no enemies... he was friendly with everyone," she told reporters when met at the mortuary of Raja Perempuan Zainab II Hospital, here, Monday.

In the 2.30pm incident, Sudin Awang, 67, from Kampung Wakaf Lanas, Pasir Puteh, was stabbed to death by a man on a motorcycle as he stopped his taxi at a traffic light.

The motorcyclist demanded that the taxi driver alight from the vehicle and when Sudin did as ordered, the motorcyclist stabbed him with a sharp object.

Rosnani said the last time she met her father was two days ago.

Meanwhile, another child of the victim, Mohd Nazri Hanafiah, 23, said his father would be buried at the Muslim cemetery in Kampung Wakaf Lanas once they have completed the post-mortem.
