The Melaka State Education Department has been ordered to investigate an incident of two cleaners having sex inside a classroom of a secondary school here, last week.
In the incident, one of the cleaners, a 17-year-old female claimed she was forced to commit the act by a male colleague.
Education Exco, Higher Learning, Science, Technology and Innovation committee chairman, Datuk Md Yunos Husin said investigations must be carried out immediately to avoid speculations that could raise concerns among parents.
"The Government is very concerned about this and I have asked the regional and state education departments to take appropriate actions soon to resolve this matter.
"The police had in fact visited the school and met with the duo, and they are conducting an investigation," said Md Yunus.
In addition, he also issued a directive to the school to not allow the duo involved to come to work, apart from issuing a warning to the contractor who hired them.
At the same time, Md Yunus also reminded all schools to ensure there are no secluded places that could encourage people to commit immoral activities on school grounds.
Meanwhile, the school security guard, Safwan Norman, 25, said the police had came to the school with the female complainant to investigate the matter.
"I have heard her complain, but I'm not sure whether it's true or not.
"At that time I was patrolling, but I did not hear anything suspicious. I learnt that the police had come to investigate and the victim was riding with them in a van. The male suspect had already went home. It was a Saturday afternoon.
"I didn't see him for two days after that due to the Chinese New Year holidays. I thought he was on leave but I wasn't sure," said Safwan.
In the meantime, Melaka Tengah police chief, ACP Shaikh Abd Adzis Shaikh Abdullah confirmed receiving a report on the matter last Monday.
According to sources, the underaged girl had came forward and lodged a report at the Melaka Tengah police station after her mother read a message on her mobile phone asking the man to look for birth control pills.
