KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia's COVID cases decreased for three straight days below 3,000 with a total of 2,720 new cases reported as of midnight Sunday (July 25), which pushes the overall total to 4,651,651.

Based to the data on the COVIDNOW portal, Selangor registered the most number of cases with 1,300.

The Health Ministry (MOH) recorded 4,012 recoveries, taking the overall total of those recovered and discharged to 4,567,485.

According to MOH, active cases currently stood at 48,252,with a total of 1,542 patients hospitalised, while 54 are in the intensive care unit.

Meanwhile, there were three COVID-related deaths reported yesterday, with two confirmed as brought-in-dead.

A total of 35,914 of the population have lost their lives to the COVID virus since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.
