For the fifth time, Komtar State Assemblyman Teh Lai Heng found that vandals had given his service centre in Jalan Talipon a 'paint job'.

In the latest incident early Saturday morning, the vandals who splashed the centre with black paint also tried to set it ablaze.

Previously, the premises had served as the venue for the Penang DAP headquarters.

Teh said he was only aware that paint was splashed at his centre when he opened its office in the morning.

"I was shocked to see my office once again splashed with paint by vandals. Traces of black paint and plastic bottles with burn marks were also found in front of the office.

"A neighbour told me that he heard a motorcycle passing by the service centre about 3.30am, but did not suspect anything," added the DAP assemblyman.

Northeast District police chief, ACP Mior Faridalatrash Wahid said a police report had been lodged.
