KUALA LUMPUR: The Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP) has been helping local companies to promote their products especially through its Buy Malaysia Campaign (KBBM).

One of the companies, Prisma Quantum Sdn Bhd which is based in Kota Kemuning, Shah Alam, has been producing Agola creative tech toys since mid-2019 and they are sold at much cheaper prices than other imported building block toys.

Prisma Quantum Sdn Bhd managing director Mohd Fo'at Abd Jalil said after participating in KBBM tour series, the building block and brick toys have been receiving high demand from customers.

"I used to sell Agola at shopping malls but the response was not very encouraging. Fortunately, our products got the attention of KPDNHEP and they offered us to join their programme.

"Our company is among 20 companies selected to participate in KBBM this year. We are given the opportunity to follow a series of tours by opening booths in five locations including Ipoh, Perak and Pavilion Kuala Lumpur to introduce Agola toys," he told Bernama when contacted today.

Mohd Fo'at is also grateful for the programme organised by KPDNHEP which had helped in marketing and sales.

"I hope the KBBM programme would continue to introduce more Malaysian-made products locally and globally," he said.

Agola is exclusively manufactured in Malaysia and the products are made of children-friendly materials which have been certified by SIRIM and Malaysian Conformity Mark, he added.

He said the company was also given the opportunity to introduce its 'Keyray Steam Education Pack 50 in 1' in kindergartens and preschools.

Meanwhile, Kopi Dagang Resources (M) Sdn Bhd manager Mohd Shariffuddin Ibrahim said KPDNHEP had been organising coaching courses on management skills as well as several programmes and seminars on marketing and product development.

Mohd Shariffuddin said KPDNHEP has also helped expand his business by providing the opportunity to participate in the KBBM tour series in several locations throughout Malaysia.

"The KBBM tour series is very helpful in making our MOSHA coffee a well-known brand. The programme helps the company in promoting the products and services offered, and also successfully introduces us to potential customers at home and abroad," he said, adding that the company has participated in more than 30 programmes organised by KPDNHEP.

Kopi Dagang Resources (M) Sdn Bhd, a company established in 2003 has produced a total of 137 types of premixed and ready to drink beverage products (coffee, tea, chocolate and others).
