"The media centre at the (Sama-Sama) hotel has remained open around the clock since Saturday and provided with the necessary facilities such as a conference room and internet, as well as food for the reporters.

"About 250 media practitioners including journalists, photographers and technical crew are at the hotel everyday," he told reporters here, Tuesday.

Ibrahim noted that the media conferences were more organised and professional, with local and foreign journalists given equal opportunity to pose questions.

The international media included CNN, BBC, Reuters, Associated Press (AP), Agence France-Presse (AFP), Al-Jazeera and organisations from Japan, China, Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia and Singapore.

"All of them, local and foreign have been very cooperative and carried out their responsibilities professionally," he noted.
