Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak is schedule launch the National Transformation Programme (NTP) 2013 annual report today (Tuesday).

The launch will be broadcasted on 'Live' television from Auditorium Perdana, Angkasapuri in Kuala Lumpur.

The annual report will cover the results from the Government Transformation Programme (GTP) and Economic Transformation Programme (ETP).

Both the GTP and ETP are being monitored by Performance Management and Delivery Unit (Pemandu) in line with the 1Malaysia motto "People first, performance now”.

There are seven NKRA (National Key Results Areas) under the GTP .

The ETP is to turn Malaysia into a high income economy by the year 2020 in which 12 National Key Economic Areas (NKEA) have been identified.

It will heightened Malaysia in terms of competition, standard and liberalisation, the role of government in businesses, human capital development, the provision of public services, reduce inequality and to transform public finances.

Pemandu was officially formed in September 16, 2009 and is a unit under the Prime Minister’s Department to assess progress, facilitate and support the provisions and spur progress for the GTP and ETP.
